Kinja'd!!!

1) For some reason the control panel (or whatever it’s called) icon moved off of the bottom of the screen on my phone and I haven’t figured out how to move it

2) My fancy smart-ish watch that arrived yesterday doesn’t seem to take a charge. That’s what I get for buying a refurb. And for buying yet another crappy HP product...

3) The cool Corsair K95 Vengeance keyboard I found yesterday works as a basic keyboard, but the apps to configure it don’t even recognize that is plugged in.

I spend more time just trying to get things working that should be easy to set up and use. I think I'll just go back to my vinyl records and simple watch...

I’m very much an analog watch kinda person. They are more timeless. Something classy with hands stands the test of time better than a mini screen on your wrist.

My dad worked for HP for 25 years.

Our computers are: Lenovo and Asus

Fitbit and Galaxy Watches

Brother printers

HP produces garbage

Same here.  I love my massive Citizen, I only wish it could display outside temperature on the little LCD screen in addition to all the other functions.

Cosair’s QC has been garbage as of late I had a void headset that kept breaking my USB ports. Brand new mind you. Unplugged it no more issues.

If it makes you feel any better, the Logitech software for my Logitech keyboard isn’t recognising said keyboard.

Amen!

When I was a teenager (late 90s timeframe) I was a gadget geek. I had a Rio PMP (the first portable MP3 player - it had 16 MEGABYTES!!!), I was the first of my friends to get a CD-R burner , I bought new video game consoles they day they launched, etc. I spent a lot of time dicking around with this stuff, but I loved it.

Then I when I was in the Navy and working 80 hours a week I just wanted my crap to work. Doing stuff like fixing WiFi really cut into my few precious hours of drinking time (and drunk networking never ends well - I bricked a Netgear NAS box trying that - another stupid gad get ).

Now that I’m older and saltier, I’m constantly vigilant to cut out any electronic crap that isn’t actively improving my life. After Xmas the Snuze household will be going down from 4 computers and an iPad to a laptop and a 2-in-1.

It functions fine as an analog watch and looks nice, and I could use it as such. But I paid my $20 and want all that I paid for.

The keyboard might be an interesting problem to solve.  The others sound mentally dulling.

I just polished up the old Fossil with some Flitz and it looks better than ever.  I keep trying new devices, but the tried and true usually win in the end.
